BHS Girl's Hockey Beat Winchester in MIAA Tournament

The no. 21 ranked Winchester High School girls' hockey team lost to no. 12 Burlington 3-1 Monday night in the preliminary round of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) tournament.

The no. 12 ranked Burlington High School girls hockey team beat out the no. 21 ranked Winchester team  3-1 Monday night at Burlington in the preliminary round of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) tournament, according to the Boston Globe website.

Burlington (12-7-1) advances to the second round of the North Division 2 tournament to take on no. 5 ranked Gardner (11-4-2). A time and location for the second-round game have yet to be determined.

Winchester ended the season having lost four consecutive games, with their last non-loss being a 1-1 tie against Woburn at home Feb. 6. Winchester's last win was a 5-0 blanking of Belmont in Winchester Feb. 2.
