Reminder: Today is the Deadline to Join the Town Administrator Resident Search Committee

Bring in or email your letters of interest to the Board of Selectmen's office in Town Hall by 4:30 p.m. this afternoon.

The Burlington Board of Selectmen is seeking interested residents who are registered voters in the community to serve as a volunteer on the  (2-3 members) for the next Town Administrator. The deadline to get letters of interest to the Selectmen office at is 4:30 p.m. this afternoon.

The search is to find a replacement for current Town Administrator Robert Mercier  in October. 

Residents who have no current or past affiliation with elected or appointed officials in the community and can offer an independent voice to the process as well as expertise in various disciplines related to this position are welcome to submit a letter of interest with a brief resume detailing your desire to serve in this role.  The residents selected for this committee will work with a along with the Town’s HR Director to assist in the evaluation and selection of candidates to be forwarded to the Board of Selectmen for final interviews.

It is anticipated that the Committee work will take place over 2-3 months commencing in January of 2012 with an expected completion date in late March. 

All letters of interest with a resume should be sent to the Office of the Town Administrator by 4:30 p.m. today with “Resident Search Committee” on the envelope.  In the alternative, residents may submit their letter of interest with resume via e-mail to selectmen@burlmass.org.  The Board of Selectmen will appoint candidates to serve on the Committee at the Jan. 9, 2012 meeting.
