Official Town Phone Lines are Down - 911 Still Operational

The Burlington Police Department has informed the public that the town's phone lines are now down but a repair is on the way.

Callers trying to reach any Burlington town offices this evening heard something they likely haven't heard in a while: A busy signal.

The line isn't actually busy. The stated on Twitter that the town of Burlington's phone lines are temporarily down. Residents can still call 911 in emergencies, however.

Burlington Patch tried a few numbers and found that emergency services, , the and the school department phones are all down.

There is a fix in the works, however. According to police Siemens is on the way to Town Hall to work on getting the phones back up and running.
