Gordon Endorsed by Lowell Sun

Bedford resident and candidate for the 21st Middlesex District State Rep. seat, Ken Gordon, was endorsed by the Lowell Sun on Oct. 31.

The Lowell Sun endorsed Ken Gordon, D-Bedford, in the race for the 21st Middlesex District State Representative seat on Wednesday, according to a press release from the Gordon campaign.

“We believe Ken Gordon, a lawyer and member of the Bedford Zoning Board of Appeals, is the right choice moving forward,” wrote the Sun's editorial staff in the release.

Gordon said he was pleased to receive the endorsement from the news organization after having a chance to debate his Republican opponent, Burlington Selectmen Walter Zenkin, in front of the editorial staff of the paper.

“The editors had an opportunity to compare the candidates’ positions on the issues and plans for the future and endorsed my candidacy. I will work hard to prove this honor deserved,” Gordon said in the press release.

The endorsement follows the cancelation of the final debate between Gordon and his Republican opponent due to a stated conflict of interest of one of the debate organizers by the Zenkin campaign.
