Burlington Town Web Site Revamped

The town of Burlington launched a new version of its Web site this month.

The following is a release from Burlington Town Clerk Amy Warfield:

Amy Warfield, the Burlington Town Clerk, is pleased to announce the release of the new Burlington Town Website at, burlington.org.  The website incorporates updated content, a modern design and improved technology which brings together town government and schools under a single umbrella with a common look and feel.

One of the exciting features of the new website is the organization of information tailored for residents and businesses. The "For Residents" tab allows you to quickly find those items and departments that  residents are commonly looking for.  The "For Business" tab is the area that helps new and existing businesses to for the information that they need to work in Burlington.

The website implements a content management system which will allow departments to more easily and rapidly provide updates and new information.  It also improves disability access and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities act.  A new translate button allows non-English speakers to view web pages in over 50 languages using Google Translate.

The new website is the result of several months of design, implementation, training and cross-departmental collaboration lead by the Town Clerk.

"I am really please with the launch of the new website.  It has been great to see the cross department cooperation to make this possible.  The new website will improve the user's experience integrating with the town and provides a good foundation for the future." said Amy Warfield.
