State. Rep. Charles Murphy, of Burlington, plans to resign, Murphy told Burlington Patch by email.
Murphy, a Democrat, who has recently been embroiled in a dispute with House Speaker Robert DeLeo, has served in the House since 1997, according to Boston.com. Murphy plans to leave by the end of July, says Boston.com.
Murphy says he plans to release a statement soon.
