I applied to the Burlington police for a permit to carry for my umbrella. Got turned down. They said umbrella are too dangerous for the average citizen. They are setting up an Umbrella Tactical Squad, with their own cruisers and big bus command centers. The squad will be outfitted with shields and silly string guns. I was informed umbrellas can only be carried open and on the golf course.
