Woman Arrested for OUI, Mailbox Damaged by Pumpkin

Burlington Police Logs for October 12 to 13.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, October 12-

  • At 12:22 a.m. an Upland Road caller reported that someone egged his house earlier that night. 
  • At 10:33 a.m. a Mill Street caller reported a gas leak in their house. Homeowner drove a nail into a gas line while hanging a shelf. Burlington Fire turned off the gas main. 
  • At 1:18 p.m. a caller at Rahanis Park reported dirt bikes on the soccer field. An ATV took off under the high tension wires as police arrived. Police checked the area but were unable to locate. 
  • At 2:37 p.m. a Fox Hill Road caller reported a breaking and entering of his motor vehicle. Caller said that sometime since Thursday night someone entered his unlocked motor vehicle that was parked in his driveway and stole about $5 in change. 
  • At 6:16 p.m. a caller reported their wallet was taken sometime between 12:20 and 3:30 p.m. at the Rainforest Cafe. 
Sunday, October 13- 
  • At 9:30 a.m. a caller at Fox Hill Elementary reported dirt bikes riding on school property. Gone when police arrived. 
  • At 5:14 a.m. a caller said she lost a 22 karat yellow gold bracelet valued at $1,000. The caller said it may have been lost at Chuck E. Cheese. 
  • At 6:36 p.m. a manager at the Cheesecake Factory reported three males left without paying in a vehicle with New Hampshire plates. Three teens purchased $64.90 in food and left without paying. 
  • At 10:36 p.m. police arrested Donna Griffin, 51, of 28 Clark St., Wilmington, on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and state highway traffic violation. 
  • At 10:47 p.m. a caller at Sears Automotive Center reported something threw an object through the window. 
  • At 10:51 p.m. a Drake Road caller reported a carload of youths possibly causing damage to mailboxes in the chandler Road area. Police found a mailbox damaged by a pumpkin.
