Woman Arrested for OUI and Assaulting Police, Neighbor Throws Dog Poop Over Fence

Burlington Police logs from September 19 to 22.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, September 19- 

  • At 2:24 p.m. a caller at Shaw's Supermarket reported a male lying in the grass. Intoxicated male transported to Lahey Clinic. 
Friday, September 20- 
  • At 12:50 a.m. hotel staff at the Burlington Marriott reported a hit and run accident in the parking lot. A vehicle in the lot was struck by an operator who then moved to a different spot without leaving behind information. 
  • At 10:16 p.m. police assisted Woburn Police with the arrest of a woman on  probable cause for an incident that occurred in Woburn. 
  • At 11:01 p.m. a caller at Papa Razzi reported two intoxicated males attempting to get into their vehicle. Management had called them a taxi. The men were waiting outside their vehicle when police arrived and were taken from the area in a taxi. 
Saturday, September 21- 
  • At 1:11 a.m. police arrested Dawn O'Connell, 40, of 349 Washington St., Winchester, on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, speeding, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, assault and battery on a police office, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. 
  • At 12:34 p.m. an Admore Avenue caller reported his neighbor sprayed his dog with a hose. The caller said a female neighbor deliberately sprayed his dog in the face with a water house. Police spoke with the neighbor who said that when she waters her garden the dog sticks his face under the fence and bites at the water. She said she would never try to harm the animal. 
  • At 12:53 p.m. a caller at Fox Hill Elementary reported kids on dirt bikes. Police found a group of four kids riding books with small 50 cc motor. The kids were sent along with their parents. 
  • At 3:19 p.m. a caller at the Burlington Mall reported another vehicle struck his car at the passenger side mirror and left the scene. 
  • At 6:03 p.m. a Marion Road caller reported a disturbance with a neighbor. Caller said a neighbor threw a bag containing dog feces over the fence and onto his property. This was confirmed by security video. 
  • At 11:59 p.m. police arrested Thomas Kasenge, 33, of 26 Beacon Street, Apartment 16B, Burlington, on a charge of assault and battery. Arrest made after a caller reported a man pushed his mother. 
Sunday, September 22- 
  • At 11:42 a.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington man on a charge of malicious damage to a motor vehicle. Summons issued after a Fowler Terrace caller reported his vehicle was damaged overnight and the man admitted to doing the damage because of money owed. 
  • At 12:42 p.m. police issued a summons to a Bedford man on a charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. Summons issued after an accident on Heather Drive.
