Woman Allegedly Yells Racial Slurs at Town Park, Arrested for OUI

The following are Burlington Police Department log entries from July 29 to August 1.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, July 29

  • At 1:26 a.m. on University Ave. a resident reported that another person drove by and threw a rock through their window.
  • At 8:05 a.m. a resident from Thomas Street reported a house break with items stolen. The break occurred on Sunday afternoon with a large jar stolen containing $50 in change. Entry was made through the right side of the house through a study by pushing in the air conditioning unit.
  • At 9:19 a.m. the Highway Department reported equipment was stolen sometime over the weekend.
Tuesday, July 30
  • At 2:05 p.m. the Fire Department reported a man on a scooter going the wrong way in traffic on 3A. An elderly man was on his scooter going to the post office.
  • At 4:07 p.m. a caller on Bedford street reported that a woman in a vehicle was yelling racial slurs and profanities at people in the pool area at Simonds Park. The woman had left the area and now returned. Police arrested Donna A. Gough, 56, of 2 McIntyre Drive, Burlington, for operating under the influence of liquor, second offense.
Wednesday, July 31
  • At 5:24 p.m. a Wildwood Park caller reported that a man followed her home from the park. The party was from a group home in Bedford and the group was walking around Wildwood Park when the man walked away from the group.
Thursday, August 1
  • At 1:40 p.m. a caller on Middlesex Turnpike reported that a man operating a black SUV was exposing himself. Police summonsed a 50-year-old Medford man for open and gross lewdness.
  • At 10:30 p.m. a Maryvale Road resident reported that a vehicle crashed into the front of his house. Douglas R. Anderson, 60, of 29 Chandler Road, Burlington, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.
