Who's Running in the Upcoming Town Election?

See who has already returned nomination papers.

While the deadline for potential candidates to return nomination papers is is Feb. 24, some people have gotten ahead of the game and have already filed.

Town Clerk Amy Warfield sent out a document listing all of the candidates who have returned papers to run for town office. This year the annual town election is on Saturday, April 12.

Who's running?

There is one seat on the Board of Selectmen up for contest this year. Thus far incumbent Daniel Grattan and perennial candidate Virginia Mooney have gotten their names on the ballot.

There are two School Committee seats on this year's ballot. Incumbents Stephen Nelson and Kristin Russo have returned papers, as has challenger Larry Way.

Incumbent Michael Crocker is at this time the only name on the ballot for Assessor. Likewise, Paul Roth is the only candidate thus far to return papers for the one seat in contest for the Planning Board.
