Vehicle Break-Ins Reported, Home Improvement Scam for $1,200

Burlington Police logs from September 3 to 4.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, September 3- 

  • At 12:52 a.m. police arrested a Bedford man on a warrant from another agency following a motor vehicle stop. 
  • At 9:47 a.m. a Stewart Street caller reported her vehicle was broken into sometime during the weekend. Approximately $10 in change taken from the unlocked vehicle. 
  • At 10:20 a.m. a Holden Avenue caller reported that someone took items from his vehicle over the weekend. Caller also said he found items in his driveway that may have been taken from other peoples' vehicles. 
  • At 2:25 p.m. a caller at Market Basket said that she and her daughter were nearly struck by a vehicle in the parking lot. The vehicle was being driven by an elderly male. 
  • At 6:47 p.m. a Peach Orchard Road caller reported her iPad was stolen. 
Wednesday, September 4 
  • At 12:15 p.m. a caller at Kirland & Shaw on Adams Street reported someone struck his truck sometime during the day. Damage to rear drivers side. 
  • At 3:19 p.m. a Grandview Avenue caller reported she paid $1,200 to have her front steps repaired and now thinks it was a scam. Officers to attempt to make contact with suspects.
