Two Drivers Arrested for Multiple Time OUI

Burlington Police Department log entries from July 8 to July 11.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, July 8

  • At 7:34 a.m. a Carey Ave. resident reported a neighbor yelled at his wife when she drove by during the morning. The neighbor said she was talking to her daughter, not yelling at the wife.
  • At 9:57 a.m. a woman called to report she was stuck in an elevator on Mall Road. She called back shortly after to tell police that she had gotten out.
  • At 11:11 a.m. a Hilton Garden Inn guest reported her bag was stolen. Sometime between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. the day before the woman said a Longchamp bag was taken from their hotel room, valued at $120.
  • At 8:06 p.m. a young man appeared to be having a stroke. The drug unit was dispatched to the scene and the man was transported to Lahey Clinic.
  • At 9:03 p.m. a woman reported that her vehicle was broken into at Planet Fitness with three credit cards and a purse taken.
Tuesday, July 9
  • At 4:28 a.m. Lahey Clinic security reported they have a patient who has been discharged is now refusing to leave. An 18-year-old Burlington resident was summonsed for disturbing the peace and trespassing.
  • At 3:07 p.m. Lahey Clinic requested an officer to report a past theft. Security reported that an employee reported a hip tensile bar missing from the surgical storage area, valued at $4,000.
  • At 5:10 p.m. a man said he left his wallet on a Shell Station gas pump. He called back later to report that he found his wallet after looking around the area. Three credit cards, his bank card and $110 in cash were missing.
Wednesday, July 10
  • At 4:28 a.m. a caller from Hyatt House reported a blue car at the entrance to the hotel with someone sleeping in the driver's seat. Police arrested Travell L. Perkins, 37, of 37 Spring Street, Lexington, for operating under the influence of liquor, second offense.
  • At 8:31 p.m. a child was exposed to a bat on Foster Road while sleeping nearby. The Animal Control Officer transported the bat to the state lab for testing.
Thursday, July 11
  • At 6:24 p.m. a Middlesex Turnpike caller reported hit and run with another driver hitting her vehicle and driving away from the scene. Thomas D. Lima, 63, of 121 Great Road Apt. B, Acton, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, third offense. He was also charged with leaving the scene of property damage, operating with a suspended license for OUI while operating under the influence, subsequent offense of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended for operating under the influence.
