Burlington Police logs from October

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, October 7- 

  • At 7:32 a.m. a caller on Bedford Street said a vehicle did not stop while she was crossing the street in a crosswalk. 
  • At 11:50 a.m. a caller at Lahey Clinic reported receiving harassing phone calls from her boyfriend. She said her estranged boyfriend has been making calls to her cell phone while she was at work. Calls are hang ups. Police advised her of her rights. 
  • At 12:38 p.m. a caller said her vehicle was damaged the day before while it was parked at the Burlington Mall. 
  • At 2:17 p.m. a Lexington Street caller reported a suspicious man taking pictures of a residence. Man worked for a bank and was taking picture of a residence for the bank. 
Tuesday, October 8- 
  • At 8:58 a.m. an Arlington Road caller reported a woman in red pants and a white shirt took pictures of his home. The woman was gone when police arrived. 
  • At 11:05 a.m. a caller from Lahey Clinic security reported that equipment from the pharmacy was stolen four months ago. A hand-held scanner worth $1,149 is missing. 
  • At 12:28 p.m. a caller from the Shell station on Middlesex Turnpike reported that sometime the night before someone passed a counterfeit $100 bill. 
  • At 4:34 p.m. police and fire responded to a motor vehicle accident at Mall Road and Meadow Road. A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle. Pedestrian was treated by the fire department. 
  • At 5:40 p.m. police issued a summons to a Billerica man on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. 
  • At 5:54 p.m. a caller reports that a motor vehicle struck a dog in the roadway and the operator fled the scene. Vehicle described by witnesses as a white SUV. 
Wednesday, October 9- 
  • At 6:31 a.m. a Little Brook CT caller reported their bedroom window was smashed by a truck tire. A duel tire from a tractor trailer truck detached from the wheel, flew over a guard fence, struck a light post, hit two vehicles and then hit the side of the caller's building. 
  • At 7:08 a.m. a Gloria Cir. caller reported her neighbor walks her dog and has the dog pee on the caller's lawn. Animal control to handle. 
  • At 2:12 p.m. a caller reported a dirt bike on the ball field at Rhanis Park. 
  • At 4:34 p.m. Nordstrom Rack reported detaining a male shoplifter. Store to handle.
