Speeding Drivers Damage Lawns, Mailboxes Damaged

Burlington Police Department logs for November 7-8.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, November 7-

  • At 3:05 a.m. police found a vehicle with no registration plates and the radio removed in the parking lot of Busa Wine & Spirits. 
  • At 11:34 a.m. a caller at the Burlington Mall reported being locked out of their vehicle and that their baby was inside. Police broke the front passenger window to get access to the child. 
Friday, November 8- 
  • At 1:08 a.m. a Mark Street caller reported two vehicle speeding down the road. There was also damage done to two lawns, one on Hope Street and another on Lexington Street. 
  • At 9:31 a.m. a Crystal Circle caller reported his mailbox was damaged sometime overnight. The mailbox was smashed with a cinder block. 
  • At 10:11 a.m. a Sunset Drive caller reported damage to his mailbox sometime overnight. Damage possibly done accidentally by nearby construction vehicle. 
  • At 3:29 p.m. a caller at Macaroni Grill reported being harassed by a male she previously had a relationship with. Police contacted the man who agree not to contact the caller again. 
  • At 4:38 p.m. police issued a summons to a Saugus resident on a charge of shoplifting $100+ by concealing merchandise. Summons issued after Macy's loss prevention reported detaining a female shoplifter. 
  • At 10:34 p.m. police issued a summons to a Rumney, NH man on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order. 
  • At 11:10 p.m. a Wilmington Road caller reported an injured deer in the roadway. Animal control said the animal had died.
