Updated 2:38 p.m. Dryer Fire at Winn Street Laundry Center

Laundromat was filled with smoke, but now the fire is out.

Updated 2:35 p.m.

Firefighters responded to a small fire at the Winn Street Laundry Center around 1:30 p.m.

According to Firefighter and Selectman Michael Runyan, the fire began in a working dryer. The fire caused the glass in front of the dryer to blow out, filling the laundromat with smoke.

Runyan said nobody was injured in the incident. Firefighters offered those inside the opportunity to be transported to the hospital for smoke-inhalation evaluation but all refused.

"There was a good amount of smoke" Runyan said.
