Report of Man Involved in Lewd Act in Car at Mall, Woman Summonsed for OUI
Burlington Police Department logs for October 18 to 19.
Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, October 18-
- At 11:01 a.m. a caller at the Water Treatment Plant reported a turtle with a hook in its mouth.
- At 12:07 p.m. a caller on Route 3 reported an erratic driver.
- At 5:49 p.m. police arrested a Salem woman on a warrant from another agency. Arrest made after a motor vehicle stop.
- At 11:16 p.m. a Gedick Road caller reported youths smashing pumpkins in the road. Police checked the area but were unable to locate.
- At 12:48 a.m. police issued a summons to a Wilmington woman on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.
- At 12:26 p.m. a caller at Subway on Cambridge Street reported a person left a baby sleeping in the car while they went into the restaurant. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
- At 12:48 p.m. a caller at Market Basket reported their vehicle was struck in a hit and run accident.
- At 1:50 p.m. a woman came to the station to report that credit cards were taken out of her purse and used. Theft happened on October 17.
- At 2:34 p.m. an Overlook Avenue caller reported a breaking and entering of his motor vehicle. Sometime overnight someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took about $10 in change.
- At 6:10 p.m. police issued a summons to an Arlington man on charges of attempt to commit a crime and malicious destruction of property under $250. Summons issued after a caller at Best Buy reported the man threatened him in the parking lot.
- At 6:40 p.m. a caller at the Burlington Mall reported a man was masturbating in his motor vehicle. The vehicle was gone when police arrived and the reporting party went to the station to give a statement.
- At 8:28 p.m. a caller at Beacon Village reported three youths, about 14 to 16 years old, were throwing eggs and passing vehicles. Police checked the area but the youths were gone.
