Police Logs: Multiple Reports of Restraining Order Violations, Purse Stolen, Vehicle Egged

Burlington Police Department logs from Sept. 3 to 5.

 Following are excerpts from the log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Sept. 3

  • At 10:03 a.m. a Mountain Road caller reported that someone threw eggs at his car for the third time in a month.
  • At 10:36 a.m. police towed a vehicle from Beacon Village that had its alarm go off multiple times in the past few days. Vehicle did not have parking authorization.
  • At 5:56 p.m. a Cambridge Street caller reported a red F250 truck struck his mirror while driving past him and did not stop. Caller was unable to get license plate number.

  • At 10:49 a.m. police issued a summons to a Woburn man on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order. Summon issued after the man's wife reported he violated restraining order.
  • At 3:24 p.m. a caller from Millogic, 89 Cambridge St., reported a sailboat stolen.
  • At 3:31 p.m. a caller reported that while she was turning onto Center Street from Winn Street a vehicle struck her vehicle and drove off without stopping.
  • At 8:39 p.m. police issued a summons to a Peabody man on a charge of larceny over $250. Summons issued after Herb Chambers Kia reported an employee attempting to steal an amplifier out of a vehicle. 

Sept. 5

  • At 2:04 p.m. a manager reported that a customer had a black medicine bag stolen from his shopping cart as he was loading groceries into his vehicle.
  • At 2:31 p.m. police issued a summons to a Salem, N.H. man on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order. Summons issued after the man's wife reported her husband had violated a restraining order by following her from Wilmington.
  • At 4:44 p.m. a caller reported that someone took her wallet while she was at the day before and that they had used her credit cards. 
  • At 5:06 p.m. police issued a summons to a Woburn man on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order. Summons issued after the man's ex-wife reported he was sending her text messages in violation of a restraining order.
  • At 5:14 p.m. a Daniel Drive caller reported his house was broken into.
  • At 5:27 p.m. a Davida Road caller reported his vehicle was broken into. Nothing was taken but suspect left a lock-jock tool in the vehicle.
  • At 7:16 p.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington woman on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order. Summons issued after woman's daughter-in-law reported the woman shut off the water heater in an attempt to get her and her husband to move out.
