Police Log: Three Alleged Shoplifters Arrested

An excerpt from the Burlington Police Department log. The following arrest information was supplied by the BPD. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Feb. 20

At 4:06 p.m., police responded to the Burlington Mall about a sinkhole after a water main break. Find out more about it here.

At 8:28 p.m., police received a call after a woman’s car was damaged by a pothole on Cambridge Street. Police suggested the woman contact Mass Highway because it is a state road.

At 9:48 p.m., a Kimball Court resident reported someone entered his unlocked car and stole an iPod.

Friday, Feb. 21

At 2:42 p.m., police arrested Adinilisa Semedo, 27, 22 McDonough Way, Boston, Katelene Gomes, 22, 59 Clarkson St., Apt. 3, Boston, and a 17-year-old and charged them with shoplifting more than $100 by concealing merchandise. Police made the arrest after a report of three females trying to steal $660 worth of merchandise from Sears.

At 3:24 p.m., police arrested Robert M. Tedesco, 23, 78 Bedford St., Burlington, and charged him on a warrant. Police made the arrest on Cambridge Street.

At 7:10 p.m., police summonsed a 21-year-old Wakefield man to court and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Middlesex Turnpike.

At 8:01 p.m., a motorist reported a flat tire caused by a pothole at Cambridge and Wall streets. The vehicle was towed.

 

Saturday, Feb. 22

At 12:05 a.m., police received a call after a car slid off the road and hit a fence at Bedford Street and Glendale Road. There were no reported injuries.

At 11:34 a.m., a motorist reported getting a flat tire after hitting a pothole on Cambridge Street. Police notified Mass Highway.

At 2:15 p.m., a motorist told police that a man asked her to fight during a road rage incident on the Middlesex Turnpike. She said she beeped her horn to let the other driver know he was in her lane. He pulled up alongside her and asked her to fight. Police were unable to locate the other driver.

At 2:23 p.m., a caller reported a pothole at Bedford Street and Greenwood Road.

At 3:48 p.m., a driver reported a group of youths were harassing her and threw a hammer at her car on Mall Road. Police took a report.
