Police Log: Man Steals $3,000 Worth of Victoria’s Secret Merchandise
An excerpt from the Burlington Police Department log. The following arrest information was supplied by the BPD. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Sunday, Feb. 23
At 1:04 a.m., police responded to Sandy Brook Road about a person trying to break into a neighbor’s vehicle. The caller said a person with a bat or a pole smashed the car’s windows, but did not take anything. The suspect was described as wearing shorts and a white top. He fled in a vehicle toward Bedford Street. Police took a report.
At 9:20 a.m., a Hampden Avenue resident reported someone sleeping in his car. Police arrived and the man sleeping in the car went to family member’s house on that street.
At 12:34 p.m., a Bedford Street resident reported someone opened her unlocked car and stole an iPod and a few dollars worth of change.

At 4:45 p.m., a Ruthven Avenue resident called police after someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS and a small amount of cash.

Monday, Feb. 24
At 2:45 p.m., a manager at Roche Brothers reported a man stole $40 worth of prepared foods. Police are investigating.
At 4:49 p.m., a manager at Victoria’s Secret reported a man stole $3,000 worth of merchandise. Police took a report.
At 7:13 p.m., a Kohl’s employee reported a man stole $100 worth of merchandise and fled the store. Police took a report.
