Police Log: Car Break-in Reported

An excerpt from the Burlington Police Department log. The following arrest information was supplied by the BPD. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Feb. 28

At 9:10 a.m., police received a call after a women reported finding a note on her car. The note writer left his email address and asked her if she was interested in going out for a date. The woman was nervous about the note. Police emailed the note writer and told him she was not interested.

At 10:04 a.m., police responded to Harvard Avenue about a vehicle break-in. Someone moved around items in the glove box, but nothing was reported missing.

At 3:28 p.m., a woman reported that a man in a silver truck asked her directions near Fieldstone Drive. He left, but then returned and asked her “strange things” and barked at her dog.

At 7:51 p.m., police responded to Market Basket about a man yelling at his children. Police spoke to the man, who said his children were upset because they didn’t want to go to the supermarket.


Saturday, March 1

At 5:58 p.m., an employee at Anthropologie reported that about $550 worth of merchandise was stolen.


Sunday, March 2

At 2:07 a.m., police responded to Bedford Street concerning a group of people yelling profanities and beeping car horns. Police spoke to the people.

At 10:49 a.m., a motorist reported that a large rock hit her windshield at Route 3 and Route 128. She thinks someone throw the rock.

At 2:22 p.m., police arrested Thembekile L. Mazibuko, 47, 66 Lexington St., Burlington, and charged him on a warrant.

At 5:41 p.m., police arrested Kristopher Wilmot, 24, 1 Baron Park Lane, Apt. 19, Burlington, and charged him with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. Police made the arrest after a report of an intoxicated customer threatening people at Chili’s Grill & Bar.
