Police Investigating Lumber Truck Accident on Middlesex Turnpike

Morning commuters on Middlesex Turnpike saw a wild scene this morning after a lumber truck spilled its contents.

Members of the Massachusetts State Police are investigating how and why a truck lost its load of lumber on the ramp from Route 3 south to Route 128 at about 7:24 a.m. this morning, Boston.com reports.

Police said the lumber, which tumbled onto the roadway, slowed but did not stop traffic during the morning rush. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The State Police truck team is handling the investigation.
