Police arrested one woman yesterday in a sting of a local business suspected to be a place of prostitution with a spa as a front. 

According to a release by the Burlington Police Department, on Thursday, Sept. 27, the Burlington Police Vice/Narcotics Unit and Burlington Detectives conducted a prostitution sting at Burlington Fitness located at 166 Cambridge Street. The police department had received numerous reports that this business was providing sexual conduct for a fee while advertising as a massage spa.

Police arrested 48-year-old female Rui Qin Ma of Flushing, New York, for Sexual Conduct for a Fee and Unlicensed Massage.

Three other females were identified at the location. Police determined that none of the females were licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to provide massages. The Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure as well as the proper Town of Burlington officials will be following up with the owner of the business.

Rui Qin Ma will be arraigned in Woburn District Court on Friday.
