Multiple Reports of Counterfeit Bills, Rock Thrown at Vehicle

Burlington Police Department logs for October 16 to 17.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, October 16-

  • At 2:42 a.m. a clerk at Extended Stay America requested assistance with an intoxicated guest and said the man was injured. Intoxicated male transported to Lahey Clinic. 
  • At 7:14 a.m. an anonymous caller reported youths smoking marijuana near the entrance to Burlington High School on Spruce Hill Road. 
  • At 10:51 a.m. a caller from the Haagen Dazs store in the Burlington Mall reported receiving three counterfeit $10 bills. 
  • At 12:29 p.m. an employee at Bobby's Burger Palace reported being harassed by an ex-employee of the restaurant. Caller said there was a physical altercation with the suspect in front of Macy's. The suspect to be trespassed by the restaurant and the mall. 
  • At 4:06 p.m. a Winn Street caller reported that a male party stepped from his olive green Saab and threw an item, possibly a rock, at his vehicle. 
  • At 8:46 p.m. a caller reported an unauthorized use of a credit card at Nordstrom. 
Thursday, October 17- 
  • At 9:01 a.m. police issued a summons to a Waltham resident on unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a state highway traffic violation. Summons issued after police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Middlesex Turnpike. 
  • At 10:5 a.m. a manager at the Shell station on Middlesex Turnpike reported a possible counterfeit $100 bill. The manager contacted the bank and the bank will do further testing and if it turns out to be counterfeit the bank will send it to the Secret Service. 
  • At 2:10 p.m. Macy's loss prevention reported detaining a female shoplifter. 
  • At 3:39 p.m. a man came to the station to report that someone keyed his car while it was parked at the Burlington Mall. 
  • At 4:42 p.m. a caller reported receiving a counterfeit $10 bill from the Dunkin Donuts in the Burlington Mall. 
  • At 8:18 p.m. police issued a summons to a Allston man on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, unregistered operation of a motor vehicle and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
