Multiple Motor Vehicle Violations and Vehicle Break-Ins

Burlington Police logs from September 8 to 11.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, September 8 

  • At 12:21 a.m. a Mountain Road caller reported she heard what sounded like gunshots. Woburn Police was at the time responding to reports of fireworks near the Burlington line. 
  • At 5:19 a.m. police issued a summons to a 16-year-old juvenile on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to signal. 
  • At 11:28 a.m. a Gedick Road caller reported receiving a suspicious package. The item was a promotional item delivered in the mail - a pink tube with a key from a car dealership. 
  • At 11:43 a.m. a Brown Avenue caller reported he is locked out of his vehicle and there is a baby inside. Police assisted with opening the vehicle. 
  • At 12:25 p.m. a caller on Mill Street reported dirt bikes riding up and down the street. 
  • At 3:23 p.m. a caller at H Mart reported seeing an eight food illegal snake in the swamp area. 
  • At 9:08 p.m. police arrested a Burlington man on a warrant from another agency. 
Monday, September 9 
  • At 2:34 p.m. a caller at Crossroads Plaza reported the center caps on her Porsche were taken. 
  • At 4:14 p.m. a Cambridge Street caller reported malicious damage done to her company vehicle. She said two tires were slashed sometime over the weekend. 
  • At 6:58 p.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington man on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Summons issued after a motor vehicle stop. 
Tuesday, September 10 
  • At 3:10 p.m. a Lord Baron Park caller reported her boyfriend took her vehicle without permission. After speaking with her about the situation in the relationship police assisted her in gaining an emergency restraining order. 
  • At 3:57 p.m. the Health Department reported used needles on the ground at Veterans Park. Needles disposed of properly. 
Wednesday, September 11 
  • At 8:16 a.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington resident on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a state highway traffic violation. 
  • At 8:22 a.m. a Mill Street caller was reported someone cut the top of his soft-top Jeep while it was parked in the driveway overnight and stole his stereo. 
  • At 4:52 p.m. police issued a summons to a Lawrence man on charges of operating a motor vehicle with no inspection sticker, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and a number plate violation. 
  • At 5:44 p.m. a Sandy Brook Road caller reported a child seat was stolen from his unlocked vehicle. 
  • At 5:49 p.m. police issued a summons to a Reading woman on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 
  • At 6:42 p.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington man on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. 
  • At 9:19 p.m. police issued a summons to a North Reading man on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
