Multiple Car Break-Ins, Credit Card Fraud Reported

Burlington Police Department logs for November 21 to 23.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, November 21-

  • At 11:02 a.m. police arrested a Burlington man on a warrant from another agency. 
  • At 7:08 p.m. police assisted a caller who reported her vehicle was partially in the roadway and out of gas. 
  • At 7:16 p.m. a caller reported a credit card was opened at his name and used at Nordstrom for a $500 charge on Nov. 16. Police informed the caller the suspect had been previously arrested. 
  • At 8:53 p.m. a Newbridge Avenue caller reported her daughter's friend has taken approximately $200 worth of items from her home.
Friday, November 22- 
  • At 11:31 a.m. a caller at New England Executive Park reported the catalytic converter on his vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle was parked in the Burlington Mall parking lot next to the park. 
  • At 3:20 p.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington man on charges of operation of an unregistered motor vehicle, a number plate violation to conceal ID, operating an uninsured vehicle and possession of an open container of alcohol. 
  • At 4:17 p.m. emergency crews responded to a one-car rollover accident on Alcine Lane. The operator refused medical service. 
  • At 6:09 p.m. a caller reported that her vehicle was broken into while it was parked at the Burlington Mall. A backpack with a Microsoft tablet and a Burberry watch was stolen. 
  • At 6:21 p.m. a caller reported his motor vehicle was broken into while parked at Barnes & Noble. 
  • At 6:51 p.m. a caller on Wall Street reported his vehicle's catalytic converter was stolen the day before. 
Saturday, November 23- 
  • At 11:44 a.m. a Eugene Road caller reported someone entered his unlocked motor vehicle the night before and took items from his wife's pocketbook. Approximately $600 in cash and other items stolen. 
  • At 5:05 p.m. a caller at Wayside plaza reported her vehicle was struck while parked and no information was left behind. Damage to passenger side door and rear fender. 
  • At 6:48 p.m. a caller reported his vehicle was struck while parked in the Burlington Mall parking lot in a hit and run accident. A witness provided the caller with the plate number of the suspected vehicle. 
  • At 7:25 p.m. a Littles Brook CT caller reported he received some sort of child pornography in his email and wanted police to look into it.
