Police Investigating Over Night Gas Station Robbery
The Burlington Police Department is investigating an early morning robbery of the Shell station on Middlesex Turnpike.
Burlington Police are investigating a robbery at the Shell station on Middlesex Turnpike that happened early this morning.
According to a release from Lt. Thomas Browne of the Burlington Police Department, on Monday, October 21, at 2:40 am the Burlington Police Department responded to the Shell gas station at 61 Middlesex Turnpike on a 911 report of an armed robbery. Units were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Initial investigation revealed that a male subject entered the Shell station wearing a white “Under Armour” baseball cap with a white mask across his face and sunglasses covering his eyes. He was also wearing white gloves, a black jacket with a gray sweatshirt underneath, black pants and black sneakers. The subject is believed to be approximately 5-00” tall. Ethnicity and hair color unknown.
The subject showed a knife during the robbery and made off with an unknown amount of money. Upon exiting the Shell, the subject got into a black or dark colored sedan, driven by another person. The vehicle fled north on the Middlesex Tpke.
