Man Summonsed After Allegedly Striking Parked Car, Mailbox and Fleeing the Scene

Burlington Police Department logs for November 24 to 25.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, November 24- 

  • At 12:33 a.m. Billerica police reported a resident in that town said they received harassing text message from a person at Kimball Court. Police spoke to the resident and told them to stop calling/texting. 
  • At 1:08 a.m. a man came to the station to report his car was vandalized on November 17 in the parking lot of the Burlington Mall. He reported the vehicle was written on with a marker and the driver's side door was scratched. 
  • At 2:28 a.m. an officer observed broken windows at Pine Glen Elementary School and the damage appeared to be done with rocks. 
  • At 6:46 a.m. a taxi driver at Beacon Village reported a customer exited the vehicle and left without paying. 
  • At 12:16 p.m. a caller at the Used Book Superstore reported his vehicle was broken into and items were stolen. 
  • At 3:50 p.m. a caller on Winn Street reported four youths put a cone in the roadway. The cone was removed and the youths were spoken to. 
  • At 5:52 p.m. a caller at Macy's reported she put her coat down on the floor and someone stole it. The coat contained her wallet and phone. Police helped locate the items. 
  • At 7:45 p.m. a caller at the Burlington Mall reported a male broke their vehicle's window. 
Monday, November 25- 
  • At 6:39 a.m. police issued a summons to a Woburn man on charges of leaving the scene of property damage and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Summons issued after a Francis Road caller reported a dark colored pickup truck struck his vehicle and mailbox in his driveway and fled the scene. 
  • At 3:16 p.m. police arrested Laura Phelan, 25, homeless, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property under $250, credit card fraud under $250 (2 counts), larceny under $250 (2 counts), forgery of a document (2 counts) and uttering a false document (2 counts). Arrest made at Olde Towne Liquore Store.
