Man Arrested for Restraining Order Violation, Child Literally Throws Money Out the Window

Burlington Police logs from August 29 to 30.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, August 29- 

  • At 12:35 a.m. police arrested Thomas Foley, 46, of 12 Lincoln Street, Beverly, on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order and on warrants (3 counts). Arrest made after a caller reported a disturbance at a Rita Avenue location. 
  • At 11:11 a.m. a caller reported that his money clip with his credit cards, bank card, identification and $600 in cash was thrown out of the car window by his grandson in the Fox Hill area. 
  • At 4:17 p.m. police arrested a Cambridge woman on a warrant from another agency. Arrest made after Sears reported detaining a female shoplifter. 
  • At 7:48 p.m. a Cambridge Street caller reported that he believes a young child at a neighboring residence has been shooting BBs at his property and causing damage. An 11-year-old child damaged window. Police to contact parents. 
  • At 9:10 p.m. police arrested a Chelmsford woman on a warrant from another agency. Arrest made after a motor vehicle stop. 
Friday, August 30- 
  • At 8:44 a.m. the Recreation Department reported money missing from safe. $810 was taken from the safe sometime in the past week. 
  • At 10:44 a.m. a caller at Staples reported an injured turkey. 
  • At 1:11 p.m. a caller from Northern Bank & Trust reported receiving two counterfeit $20 bills. 
  • At 2:42 p.m. police issued a summons to a Portsmouth, Rhode Island, man on charges of violating an abuse prevention order and witness intimidation. 
  • At 9:15 p.m. police responded to Eugene Road on a youth complaint. There was a large bon fire in the woods that Burlington Fire extinguished.
