Man Arrested for OUI, Multiple Vehicle Break-ins Reported

Burlington Police logs from October 10 to 11.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, October 10- 

  • At 8:58 a.m. a Humbolt Avenue caller reported receiving a letter from a neighbor asking him to remove couches from his front porch. Caller wanted incident logged. 
  • At 2:16 p.m. a Bedford Street caller reported her home nurse filed a false time sheet. Police advised her to inform the nurse's business and have them file a report. 
  • At 2:52 p.m. a Stephanie Street caller reported the past theft of 6-12 pieces of firewood. 
  • At 7:50 p.m. police made an arrest for prostitution. 
Friday, October 11- 
  • At 12:52 a.m. police issued a citation to a driver for no headlights, no license in possession and no registration in possession. 
  • At 2:02 a.m. a Wilmington Road caller reported hearing unknown individuals on his property and a knock on the door. The caller said two males, about 17 or 18, took off in the area of Carter Road. Police checked the area but could not locate. 
  • At 7:46 a.m. an Upland Road caller reported his car was entered overnight and loose change was taken. 
  • At 1:32 p.m. a Fox Hill Road caller reported cash from the center console of his motor vehicle was taken overnight. The car was unlocked and parked in his driveway. About $20 taken. 
  • At 2:14 p.m. police issued a summons to a Fitchburg man on charges of operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, unregistered operation of a motor vehicle, no inspection sticker, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and possessing a false/stolen RMV document. 
  • At 2:20 p.m. police issue a summons to a Waltham woman on a charge of shoplifting $100+ by concealing merchandise. 
  • At 3:26 p.m. a Cathy Road caller reported the breaking and entering of her motor vehicle. 
  • At 3:31 p.m. a caller at Macy's reported someone used his credit card number. 
  • At 9:38 p.m. a Fox Hill Road caller reported a past breaking and entering of her motor vehicle. Caller said sometime the night before someone entered her unlocked motor vehicle and stolen her coach purse valued at $150. 
  • At 9:48 p.m. police arrested Malcolm Thomas, 29, of 36 Westville Street, Apartment 2, Boston, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor. 
  • At 10:24 p.m. a Phillips Avenue caller reported his vehicle was broken into. Break in happened the night before and the vehicle was unlocked. A registration sticker was stolen.
