'Major' Gas Leak Near Burlington Mall Friday Night

A "major" gas leak was reported on Burlington Mall Road Friday afternoon.

The leak happened at about 3 p.m., according to Burlington police. The road was shut down from Executive Park to Lahey Clinic, police said.

National Grid crews arrived at the scene a short time later. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

"Burlington Mall Road is all blocked off...whole area is a mess," reported Twitter user @jackieroze

At about 3:40 p.m., Burlington police reported the road reopened.

That water main break was 3 weeks ago, I know.. It's been a long winter.

This was resolved two days ago. I went to the mall area yesterday, the 15th, and it was fine.
