Laptops Stolen in Grab and Dash Robbery, Teen on Bike Struck by Vehicle

Burlington Police Department logs from November 16 to 18.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, November 16-

  • At 9:44 a.m. a manager from Herb Chambers Audi reported tires and wheels stolen from three vehicles sometime the night before. One vehicle also had its passenger side window smashed. 
  • At 10:05 a.m. a caller reported a female cutting up a deer in the roadway on Route 3 North. Police notified the State Police. 
  • At 12:23 p.m. a caller at Keene Carpet Inc. on Cambridge Street reported striking a 14-year-old male on a bike with his vehicle. The child was complaining of leg pain but refused transport to the hospital. His mother said she would take him to the hospital as a precaution. 
  • At 1:37 p.m. a South Bedford Street caller reported he was doing construction work on a house when a male stopped and started yelling at him and his workers. The man said he was upset because he travelled from Maryland for an autograph signing that was done for the day. Police sent him to the bus stop to return home. 
  • At 4:16 p.m. police issued a summons to a Watertown resident on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Summons issued following a motor vehicle accident. 
  • At 10:25 p.m. a caller at the Burlington Ice Palace requested an officer's presence to quiet down obnoxious fans. The caller reported that two males used vulgar language during the game. One man left prior to police arrival and police spoke to the other who then left. 
Sunday, November 17-
  • At 2:03 p.m. a manager at Best Buy reported a male ran out of the store with two laptop computers and fled in an older brown and white van. 
  • At 6:08 p.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington man on a charge of assault and battery. Summons issued after a caller at CVS on Cambridge Street reported having an altercation with another customer. 
Monday, November 18-
  • At 6:40 a.m. police issued a summons to a Southborough man on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. 
  • At 11:54 a.m. a caller at Burlington Day Care reported illegal dumping. Items were thrown into the dumpster over the weekend. 
  • At 1:34 p.m. a woman reported being harassed by a male party for over a year. Police contacted the man and advised him not to contact the woman again. 
  • At 10:26 p.m. police arrested a Burlington man on a warrant from another agency.
