Lack of Brotherly Love Leads to Police Call

The following are excerpts from the Burlington police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Tue., March 11

  • 1:41 p.m. A large dog—possibly a Great Dane—was reported running loose in the area of Cormier Road and Belmont Road.
  • 3:26 p.m. The principal of Pine Glen Elementary School called police, saying youths were riding bicycles up and down a stairwell. The youths were moved along.
  • 4:43 p.m. Panhandlers were reportedly obstructing traffic near the Burlington Mall.
  • 5:42 p.m. A woman reported someone illegally charged $1,420 to her account at a Publix Grocery Store in Kissimmee, Florida.
  • 7:09 p.m. Thick black smoke was reported coming from Kings on Second Avenue. It turned out to be a small generator that was smoking. Workers shut it down.
  • 9:29 p.m. A man reported his iPad 2 was stolen from his apartment on Arboretum Way.
Wed., March 12
  • 12:14 p.m. Police charged Taylor Keefe, 25, of Boston, with check fraud.
  • 1:36 p.m. A gas odor was reported on Wilmington Road.
  • 3:05 p.m. A woman said someone stole her iPhone on Wayside Road.
  • 11:38 p.m. A caller reported two men were fighting in the area of 370 Cambridge Street. Police made contact and discovered it was a verbal altercation between two brothers who said they were fighting over a family issue. They were sent on their way.
