Updated: High-Speed Police Chase Ends in Burlington

The driver who led police on a chase from Boston to Burlington is in custody.

Boston.com is reporting the suspect in the chase is David C. Pare, 19, of Westwood.

A motorist led police on a high speed chase from Boston to Burlington that ended when the stolen SUV he was driving hit a wall, 7News/WHDH is reporting.

According to the story, a 19-year-old man driving a stolen vehicle was pulled over in South Boston late Sunday night. The driver fled the scene in the vehicle and state troopers were called to assist in the pursuit, which led down Route 128. During the chase the man reportedly hit at least three police cruisers. 

Police laid down a spike strip and were able to blow the two front tires, 7News states. The man continued to drive on the rims for some time before losing control and crashing into a Jersey barrier near exit 32.

The man was taken to the South Boston police barracks where he was booked on multiple charges.

There have been no reports of injuries stemming from this incident.
