Five Charged With Using Fake Credit Cards at Burlington Microsoft

Friday, July 11

  • At 12:16 p.m. a Eugene Road caller reported that his elderly aunt was eating and began to choke. The woman was transported to the hospital by the Burlington Fire Department.
  • At 12:22 p.m. a caller said his vehicle pulled down an overhead wire on Morrison Road.
  • At 3:06 p.m. a caller reported that several people dump at the access road to the Marshall Simonds Middle School.
  • At 5:35 p.m. a disturbance with the front desk employee was reported at Extended Day America.
  • At 6:04 p.m. a resident reported that he sent $5,000 via Wells Fargo to an individual who he believed was his friend when actually the suspect hacked into a friend's Facebook account.

Saturday, July 12

  • At 12:46 a.m. a 911 caller at Tavern in the Square reported that he was being chased.
  • At 1:38 a.m. a Wendy's caller reported that youths at the drive-thru picking up food appeared to be intoxicated and had open containers in the car. Police could not locate the vehicle upon arrival.
  • At 2:44 p.m. Moses C. Serrano, 26, of 212 Gardner Street, Woburn, was arrested and charged with violating an abuse prevention order.
  • At 3:15 p.m. a business director on Middlesex Turnpike reported that he terminated an employee recently and just prior to the termination money was reported missing from a safe.
  • At 6:51 p.m. a caller at Microsoft on Middlesex Turnpike reported that people in the store were using fraudulent credit cards. Corrie Ricketts, 21, of 40 Jupiter Road, Highland Mills, New York, and another were arrested and charged with credit card fraud over $250 and forging or uttering a forged credit card (Editor's note: the "another" refers to an individual who provided Patch with documentation showing the case was dismissed, so their name was removed). In addition, Brandom M. Gibbs, 21, of 889 Newton Ave., Baldwin New York, Asia L. Smith, 24, of 1499 Ella Grasso Apt. C7, New Haven, Conn., and Eric S. Johnson, 24, of 96 Old Kennedy Road, Windsor, Conn., were each charged with credit card fraud over $250, larceny over $250, and forging or uttering a forged credit card.
