Burlington Teen in Critical Condition Following Accident in Maine

Seacoast Online is reporting that five teens, one from Burlington, were injured in an early-morning crash on Sunday.

Seacoast Online is reporting that five teens, including a Burlington resident, were injured in an early-morning accident after crashing into a home in Kennebunkport, Maine.

According to the article, a release from Chief Craig Sanford states that the crash occurred when the driver of a 2001 Chevrolet truck, 18-year-old Robert Wasson of Peabody, Mass., lost control of the vehicle which then left the roadway, traveling across the lawn and plowing into the house at 1 New Bedford Road. Inside the vehicle were passengers Patrick Reid, 19, of Southington, Conn.; Krystopher Knight, 19, of Tarrytown, N.Y.; Margaret Hennessy, 18, of Millis, Mass.' And Briana Squeri, 19, of Burlington, Mass.

Seacoast Online reports that the men were taken to Southern Maine Medical Center and the women to Maine Medical Center in Portland. Also, according to police, both Hennessy and Squeri are in critical condition.

Kennebunkport police say that speed and alcohol may have been factors in the accident where the driver struck a beach home with a pick-up truck.
