Burlington Police Honored for Delivering Cards for Nathan [Videos]

Members of the Burlington Police Department, State Sen. Kenneth Donnelly and State Rep. Ken Gordon honored members of the Burlington Police Department who traveled to Virginia to deliver cards to a boy with cancer.

There were many expressions of pride for the above-and-beyond trip members of the Burlington Police Department organized to deliver cards to a Virginia boy with cancer during Monday night's Board of Selectmen meeting.

Members of the board, State Sen. Kenneth Donnelly and State Rep. Ken Gordon all expressed their pride and gratitude for the members of the Burlington Police Department that traveled to Virginia to deliver cards to Nathan Norman, a six-year-old boy with cancer whose Christmas wish was to receive cards from police.

Sgt. Gerard McDonough, with the help of other officers, decided to go above and beyond and hand delivered the cards to Nathan. On top of that, they organized about 250 officers from many departments to caravan to Virginia to make the boy's wish come true.
