Billerica Man Arrested Twice in One Day

The following are Burlington Police Department log entries from August 12 to August 13.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, August 12- 

  • At 7:10 a.m. a caller at Wayside plaza reported a sick raccoon in the parking lot. Animal was confined until animal control arrived. 
  • At 8:57 p.m. a caller reported a 5-year-old girl running down Middlesex Turnpike by herself. The caller was with the child awaiting police. The child was reunited with her father. A 51A (child neglect) report was filed. 
  • At 12:06 p.m. police issued a verbal trespass at a Harriett Avenue residence and a shotgun, bb guns and ammunition were taking into safe keeping. All parties advised to seek probate court for the issue. 
  • At 3:46 p.m. police responded to Liberty Travel on a report of a child locked inside a motor vehicle without air conditioning. Officers helped gain access to the vehicle. 
  • At 5:10 p.m. police arrested Michael Fosrster, 33, of 93 Berkeley St., Billerica, on a charge of shoplifting by asportation (3rd Offense). Arrest made after Sears Loss Prevention reported a shoplifter allegedly stole a $200 baby stroller. 
  • At 6:53 p.m. a woman reported her daughter was being harassed via her cell phone. 
  • At 8:44 p.m. a caller on Corporate Drive reported vandalism to their motor vehicle that occurred over the weekend. A tire was slashed and a side mirror was smashed. 
  • At 10:23 p.m. police arrested Michael Fosrster, 33, of 93 Berkeley St., Billerica, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a marked lanes violation. 
Tuesday, August 13 
  • At 9:20 a.m. a caller on Sunset Drive reported that their catalytic converter was taken off their vehicle and stolen. 
  • At 2:52 p.m. police placed a Wilmington man into protective custody. Arrest made after a manager at Staples reported a male sleeping in the bathroom. 
  • At 2:35 p.m. a caller at Burlington Family Dental reported their vehicle was hit in a hit and run accident. 
  • At 4:53 p.m. a caller at For Eyes Optical reported that approximately $1,000 worth of merchandise was stolen. The suspects fled in a baby blue colored pick-up truck.
