ATV Riders In Street Flee Cops, Man Arrested for Breaking and Entering

Burlington Police logs from September 28 to 29.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, September 28-

  • At 12:44 a.m. police arrested Kyle Breingan, 23, of 7 Cynthia Road, Billerica, on a charge of breaking and entering a building at nigh time for a felony. Arrest made after a Demone Road caller reported a disturbance with a former boyfriend. 
  • At 1:14 a.m. a Westwood Street caller reported a past breaking and entering. Break-in believed to have happened between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. 
  • At 11:01 a.m. a manager from the Hyatt House reported a guest was heavily intoxicated. Same transported to Lahey Clinic. 
  • At 11:11 a.m. Macy's security reported detaining a female shoplifter who allegedly took $178 in costume jewelry. 
  • At 2:31 p.m. police issued a summons to a Peabody woman on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise. Summons issued after Lord & Taylor reported detaining a shoplifter who allegedly attempted to steal a $178 shirt and a $58 belt. 
  • At 3:09 p.m. police arrested Matthew Critchlow, 24, of 139 Howard Avenue, Apartment 3, Boston, on a charge of possessing a counterfeit credit card. 
  • At 6:55 p.m. police arrested Joseph Arnolds, 21, of 125 Salem St., Wilmington, on charges of failing to stop a recreational vehicle for police, unsafe operation of a recreation vehicle and failing to stop/yield. Police also issued a summons to a Billerica man on charges of failing to stop a recreational vehicle for police, unsafe operation of a recreation vehicle and failing to stop/yield. Arrest and summons made after police found two men riding ATVs in the roadway on Mill Street. When police attempted to stop the men they fled on food under some power lines. 
Sunday, September 29-
  • At 2:25 a.m. there was a water main break on Wing Terrace. 
  • At 4:57 p.m. Lahey Clinic security reported a patient threatened a doctor. A patient that was involved in a motor vehicle accident was upset he was not given painkillers (narcotics) and allegedly threatened his doctor. Doctor does not want to pursue criminal action. 
  • At 8:34 p.m. a manager at McDonalds reported a customer threw a drink at an employee.
