Accident on Mall Road - Expect Delays

Burlington Police confirmed that an accident on Mall Road is causing back-ups as a telephone poll has been knocked over.

Emergency crews are responding to the scene.

At about 5 p.m. the accident was reported on Twitter by Mike Maura, a local who follows emergency scanners.

He stated: Car into a pole on Mall Road. Pole across the road and on top of a vehicle. Roadway shutdown.

Police said the road is not completely shut down but the incident is causing delays during an already busy time for the area.
