Letter: Ken Gordon "Thank You For Your Support"

A letter to supporters and voters from Ken Gordon, who won Thursday's Democratic primary to be on the ballot as the candidate for the 21st Middlesex District Seat.

The following is a letter from Ken Gordon, the Democratic candidate to be on the Nov. 6 ballot for the 21st Middlesex District State Rep Seat:

With humility and inspired by awe, I offer my sincere gratitude to all of those who contributed to our campaign for the seat of State Representative from the 21st Middlesex District, covering Burlington, Bedford, and parts of Wilmington.  You contributed with your time, your energy, your resources, your votes and your support. You helped get out our message in the shortest windows of time, and it was received.

To the voters who wrote my name on your ballot or used a sticker to do so, thank you. You overcame the inconvenience of a sticker campaign and I appreciate your vote. I will work even harder between now and the general election to prove that your faith in me is worthwhile.   Our opponents ran good campaigns, as well. If you voted for one of my opponents I encourage you to take a fresh look at my website.  I hope that I can count on your vote in the general election.

Thank you to David Fionda and Virginia Mooney. You ran with class and with grace.  Even if we proposed different solutions to our problems, our common goal was to solve them. Thank you to Charlie Murphy for your wonderful service to our district for so many years. You leave large shoes to fill, and I will work hard to live up to your example.

To my wife Breena and our son Brandon, thank you for putting up with my hectic schedule these past weeks.  Breena made sure I was prepared for the challenges that faced me.  And Brandon, thank you for holding signs for me and telling your friends to vote for your dad.  I am proud of every vote I earned, but none more so than when you told me I earned the votes of your entire fourth grade class at Lane School.
