The following is an obituary courtesy of Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home.

Melissa R. Jones, 36, died Friday at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a lengthy illness. 

She was born in Malden, May 23, 1978, the daughter of Paul and Robin (Ratta) Walsh of Billerica and lived in Everett before moving to Billerica ten years ago. Miss Jones had been employed at Game Stop in Burlington.

Besides her parents, Miss Jones is survived by her daughters, Nikki Jones and Arianna Narinkiewicz of Billerica; her son, Ethan Fernandes of Billerica; her fiancé, Shane Miller of Revere and her brothers, David Walsh of Groton and Joseph Walsh of Chelmsford. 

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. A graveside service will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 1:30 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. The family asks that any floral arrangements include purple and white flowers.
