Community Corner

Burlington Volunteer Reserve Corps (Medical Reserve Corps)

The Burlington Board of Health is recruiting volunteers to join the Burlington Volunteer Reserve Corps (MRC); a group of volunteers organized to assist the Board of Health in pandemic disease events, Board of Health emergencies and other community events. We need both medical and non-medical volunteers; a willingness to participate in health-related community events is all that is needed. The time commitment can be as large or small as you want.

Residents are invited to an information session on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at the Murray-Kelly Room, 61 Center St, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Light dinner refreshments will be served; please RSVP by Sept. 17 (781-270-1957). If you have questions about volunteering, need more information or cannot attend on the 20th, call the Board of Health (781-270-1957) or go to www.burlington.org/boh.
