On behalf of The International Ballet Academy of Norwell
d.b.a New England Movement Arts (NEMA), it is our pleasure to introduce you to
our 2014 Spring performance of “La Boutique Fantasque”. This captivating
performance of a full-length story ballet features Burlington's very own, Julia Shvartsman and Veronica Chang and will be performed in our intimate black box theater at 123 Muller Road in Burlington on Friday April 25th at 7pm, Saturday April 26th at 7pm, Sunday, April 27th at 4pm, Friday May 2nd at 7pm, Saturday May 3rd at 7pm, and on Sunday, May 4th at 4 pm.
New England Movement Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, located in Burlington right off of Middlesex Turnpike. NEMA strives to increase awareness and appreciation of movement arts and offers training in dance, karate, fencing, fitness and much more for children and adults of all ages.
“La Boutique Fantasque” tells the story of a magical toy shop where the dolls came alive! The setting is in a toy shop where the dolls come alive at night. Guests to the shop wish to purchase the dolls out of set but the Toy Maker insists that the dolls must be sold together as he intended when he made them. Business was not going well for the Toy Maker so he decided to break his own rule. This is when the dolls decide to take things into their own hands...
