July 4th Parade

The Burlington July 4th Committee invites you to celebrate Independence Day. (Rain or Shine)
Children's activities on the Town Common begin at 8:00 a.m. Potato sack races, Pie eating contest, Hula Hoop contest etc. Chief Herbie Crawford (ret.) has been named Grand Marshall for the parade which starts at 11:00 a.m. from Burlington Car Wash to Memorial School. 5 yr. old Dougie Davis will be a special guest of The Burlington Fire Department, riding shotgun on Tower 1. Dougie was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in 2013. The American Legion will be accepting donations for "Team Dougie" throughout the day. Marching bands, floats, Bat Man, Patriots Cheerleaders and Sponge Bob will be among the participants. Find us on Facebook or visit our web site: www.burlingtonjuly4th.com
