VIDEO: Memorial School Honors Those Lost in Foreign Wars with Special Ceremony

Many gathered at the new school to see the unveiling of two plaques naming Burlington sons lost in foreign wars since World War II.

Residents, school officials, town officials, students, family members and friends gathered at the new last week to honor those Burlington residents lost in foreign wars with a special ceremony.

Two plaques were hung in the main hallway of the school, one listing the names of Burlington residents who died serving their country in World War I, World War II and the Korean conflict. This plaque was moved from the original Memorial School, which was torn down this summer.

The second plaque is new and lists the names of those Burlington sons who died in Vietnam and the Global War on Terror.
