Traffic Advisory: Work Being Done in South Bedford Street Area

A traffic alert from the Burlington Department of Public Works.

The following is a release sent from the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce by John Sanchez, Burlington Superintendent of Public Works:

John Sanchez, Superintendent of Public Works, asked the Chamber to inform the membership of the following Traffic Advisory due to work being done related to the installation of the sewer force main from Terrace Hall to South Bedford Street.

  • Starting Monday October 22

Traffic patterns through the construction zone on Burlington Mall Road between Stony Brook Road and South Bedford Street will change slightly.

  • From 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM:

The current traffic zone will be used; the eastbound lane between South Bedford Street and Stony Brook Road will be closed and the westbound lane will be split to allow 2-way traffic.

  • From 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM:

The construction zone will shift;  the westboundlane between South Bedford Street and Stony Brook Road will be closed, while the eastbound lane will be split to allow 2-way traffic.  South Bedford Street from Lexington Street to Burlington Mall Road will also be closed to through traffic.
