Burlington Reads

Our month-long “Burlington Reads 2013” is happening now!  Join us for all of the programs planned around the themes depicted in the 2013 book, “Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” by Jamie Ford. Learn about life for Asian-Americans in Seattle during World War II.  Family, Chinese and Japanese culture, and life in internment camps are among the topics of this moving story.

On Thursday, March 7 at 7pm join us for “A Taste of Asia” with Burlington chef and Asian food enthusiast Max Gow.  Learn about differences in Asian cooking and enjoy some tastes as well.  This program, sponsored by Burlington Breakfast Rotary, is sure to satisfy.

As an added bonus, every time that you attend a “Burlington Reads” event, you can enter to win "A Night at the Mariott," Burlington's own delightful hotel!  The winning ticket will be drawn on Thursday evening, March 21 at the Library.  Sincere thanks to the Burlington Marriott for their generous donation which includes one room on a Friday or Saturday night, plus breakfast for up to 2 adults and 2 children under 12, with full access to health club, pools, sauna and exercise facilities.
