The Burlington Public Library has a wide variety of upcoming programs and events.

The has a bunch of upcoming events and ongoing programs residents can check out. The following is a press release listing what is currently happening and coming soon.

Library Hours

The library will be closed Saturday, July 2 through Monday, July 4 in celebration of Independence Day.

Summer Reading Events for Children

Singing With Samantha! - Wednesday, July 6, at 11:00

Join Samantha for a morning of performance and sing-along songs designed especially for children ages 3-8.

Improv 4 Kids -  Thursday, July 7 at 10:15. Join Mary for a lively round of theatre games, using props, music, and your imaginations. At the last session, participants will act out a story that puts everyone in the spotlight!  For elementary students.  Registration required.

Top Secret Family Science Night! -  Thursday, July 7 at 7:00. Stop by for fabulous make and take science experiments. For children ages 3 and up. Registration required.

Summer Reading Events for Teens

Crafts and Snacks - Tuesday, July 5 from 1-1:45

Supplies will be provided to complete a craft.  Snacks are provided too. 

Bagel & A Book Talk -Thursday, July 7  from  1-1:45

Never been to a Book Talk? It’s okay – Book Talks are very relaxed. It’s simply sharing books that you have read, and listening to others about books they have read. It’s a great place to pick up titles that might sound interesting! Bagels and coffee will be provided.

Game Day -Friday, July 8 from 2-3PM 

It's Game Day at the Burlington Public Library! Anyone in grades 6th-12th is welcome to drop by anytime between 2-3 for food and fun. Game Day will include a Wii (Wii Sports, Mario Kart, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games) as well as board games. Feel free to bring friends and any games you would like to play.

Adult Summer Reading

Continue to read and enter the “Novel Destination” Adult Summer Reading raffle.  Fill out an entry form for every book that you read and then drop it into the box.  Each month there will be two winners.  The first prize is a $50 gas card donated by Northern Bank & Trust.  The second prize for July donated by the Friends of the Library, is a copy of 'Weird New England!’ a favorite travel book, along with two hammock chairs and two flashlights so that you might observe weird happenings too.
