This year the Burlington Recreation Department, The Rotary Club of Burlington and the Burlington High School Rotary Interact Club will host the third annual “Spooktacular” on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. at Simonds Park (rain/snow date will be Oct.  28).

So far it looks like the weather will be nice, unlike last year when the Spooktacular event was held during the strange October snowstorm. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies this Saturday with a high temperature near 64 degrees.

Once again this year there will be a Haunted House which is constructed and staffed by the Burlington High School Interact Club. There will also be a Hay Maze, Bonfire, Snacks, and Games.

Harvey the Milk Shake Van from b.good will once again make an appearance with milkshakes. The Rainforest Café, located at the Burlington Mall. will be serving hot chocolate.   AMC Theatre in Burlington is once again donating Pop Corn.  TD Bank  will be donating pumpkins.  Paula Salvucci owner of True North Coffee will be on hand once again for cookie decorating.  The Weiner Family owners of Dunkin Donuts on Cambridge Street in Burlington will donate donuts for the donut game!

People Helping People will be on hand accepting cash and food donations.  Requested food donations are canned goods such as soups and vegetables. This is a great way to teach your children how to enjoy themselves and at the same time give back to the community they live in by bringing a canned good or a cash donation.   There is no charge for admission to this event.
